Hello there all of you wonderful readers! We apologize for going M.I.A for so long but the Head Over Heels team has been so busy with the 2017 wedding season upon us. But this week, we wanted to make sure we found the time to write about a company that is near and dear to our hearts – The Daily Details.

Amid all of our meetings and tastings last week, we were thrilled to find the time to stop by The Daily Details, a beauty bar co-founded by one of our former brides, Nicole Vieira, and her sister, Kiri. Nicole got married in the summer of 2015. Kelly was her lead planner and they worked closely together to plan her rustic, elegant wedding in just six short months! It was so beautiful. Back then, Nicole had her hands full with planning her wedding while working full-time as an accountant, so The Daily Details was still just an idea on paper. Now, it has grown into something much bigger!

TDD is conveniently located uptown at the Duke Energy Center (550 S. Tryon Street, Suite 110 Charlotte, NC 28202). A little tip – check out TDD’s website here for parking information. The location is perfect because you are right in the heart of uptown, so you are close to everything. Even walking up to TDD, you feel the city-chic vibes all around you.

When you enter, you will love the modern and elegant décor, making the place feel so fresh and stylish. One of their lovely team members greets you, speaks with you about their services and directs you to the person who will best serve you. Kelly had a pedicure done by Eliana (we forgot to take pictures!) and Natasha had a blowout by Suzy. Both did an amazing job!

For Natasha’s blowout, Suzy first took her to the sink to wash her hair. The hair washing experience was heavenly, especially during a busy work week or in the middle of wedding planning, when you might need a little extra pampering. No joke, Natasha let out a little sigh of relief/pleasure (people nearby definitely heard) when Suzy was massaging her head. Lol! Once they finish washing your hair, they take you to the blow dry “bar” and show you their menu of style options from which to choose. Each look has a signature illustration of a woman rocking that style. You can also see these styles on their website as well as on a cute little card they give you at the end. The styles are so chic and we just loved them all!

On a side note, all of the products they used (both during the wash and for the blow dry) smelled amazing! And as if you didn’t already feel pampered enough, they offer a variety of beverages, including water, soda, coffee, etc. This may seem like a small thing, but it is this attention to detail that we, at HOH, love and appreciate. You have no idea how many places do not offer a beverage and on a busy day of work or on your wedding day, hydration and/or caffeine are most definitely needed!

Fast forward about 35 minutes later and “The Showstopper” turned out amazing! Natasha’s hair was definitely neglected and you could clearly see it in her split ends (her words), but the blow out made such a difference. Her hair looked smooth, shiny, and way more voluminous. Natasha said it felt so lightweight and bouncy that she kept feeling the urge to flip her hair!

At the end of your service, they give you this cute little card with the picture of your style, along with a hashtag that includes the name of the person who helped you. Shout out to being #detailedbyeliana and #detailedbysuzy!!! On the back of the card, they list all the products used during your visit. The card is such a cute and clever way for TDD to leave us with not only their contact info, but it also serves as a reminder of the style received and some insight into what products made that service possible.

Every detail, from beginning to end, created a wonderful experience and all in much less than an hour. Perfect for stopping by during your lunch break or even before work to take care of those essential beauty tasks amidst all your other responsibilities. And it was just what we needed at HOH. Now we can tackle this wedding season feeling and looking on-point!

TDD Prep Parties are when the bride and her bridal party or family come in the day before the wedding and enjoy manicures and pedicures as they sip mimosas and finalize details for the next day. They finish off the fun with a Blowout or a 30-minute ‘Pick-Me-Up’ service so they are all rehearsal dinner ready. This is a great way to have a little relaxation time with the ladies before all the busy wedding festivities begin. On the big day, TDD does offer a variety of packages where you and your bridal party can get ready at the cute beauty bar or TDD can come on-site to your venue. You could also do a mixture of both, for either you or the bridal party.

One of our favorite reasons to use TDD on your wedding day is the amazing photo ops. The beautiful grey wooden floors, white furniture and hint of something blue in TDD’s feature wall make this space modern and chic – the perfect backdrop for your “getting ready” photos. The space creates a fresh, glamorous vibe that truly showcases the fun in primping!
